Witchduck road (which I thought at the time was “Witch Duck” as in a sort of water fowl) and Pleasure House Road were two of the roads near us when I was growing up. I think they have both since been renamed by an overly prissy city council intent on not embarassing or offending the newcomers. Not all progress is good.

Nevermind. I’m going to play on that site. Starting from scratch on a template there, so I’ll a)learn something, b)not have all the noise from the default theme distracting me, and c)get to reuse a bunch of the styles, etc. already defined. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

I am amazed at the number of folks in the workplace who have dozens, if not hundreds of unopened emails on their system. I had one client who regularly didn�t open mail from me unless I tagged it as high priority. Arrrgh.

Speaking of company culture… I have a boss who has asked that I always put “Important” or “Please Read” into the subject line of the “emails I want him to read”, otherwise he will not know to read them. hmmm – Guess my daily emailed cartoons and jokes will never be seen by him. (sarcasm)

Schools are traditionally a local/state, not a federal funding issue. As well, I think that if you look over the past 50+ years, you will find that school funding, in real dollars, has gone up significantly. I think you will also find that there is either no or negative correlation between funding and quality of education in the broad picture.
